next to the first phase of Spring Lake in the city of Woodland, Mutual
Housing at Spring Lake II will provide and additional 39 apartments and townhomes,
supportive services, and community building programs for
agricultural workers and other low-income households.
Mutual Housing at
Spring Lake was Mutual Housing's first zero net energy
development. Primarily through the use of photo voltaics, the
property generates at least as much energy as it consumes.
Spring Lake II has even more advanced energy and water efficiency
features, with plans to achieve 105% zero-net energy and store
at least 5% of energy generated off the grid. To promote
conservation of limited water resources a grey water system will
also be installed, offsetting nearly 50% of typical landscape
completion is anticipated in June 2019.
